Travel, activities and discoveries for your yacht charter vacation

Flights to Belize are usually via the United States or Mexico. In Belize you will arrive at Ladyville International Airport, 15 kilometers from Belize City. From Belize City propeller planes fly to Placencia, a coastal town in the south of Belize. This is where our yacht charter bases are located. Placencia is situated on a long, narrow headland between cays and exudes vacation flair by itself and is called "the cay you can drive to". Here you can get enough supplies for your trip. In Placencia Bay divers have the chance to swim with whale sharks in May and June.

Perfect for yacht charterers: off the coast of Belize there are many atolls, coral islands and reefs, sea and land are constantly changing. Especially divers and snorkelers can be excited about Belize. Along the entire coast of Belize stretches a barrier reef, which is the second largest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef. Another highlight is the Great Blue Hole at Lighthouse Reef, which is the opening to an underwater cave system and is up to 125 meters deep. At Hol Chan Marine Reserve near Ambergis Cay and Caye Caulker, you can see a variety of corals, sponges, sea grass and different species of turtles, as well as dolphins and manatees. Shark Ray Alley is home to stingrays and bull sharks.

With its great diversity of flora and fauna, Belize is an exciting destination for nature lovers. In the national parks with orchids, mangroves and rainforests you can encounter toucans, howler monkeys, tapirs, pumas and jaguars or explore one of the largest cave systems in Central America.

But sailors should not miss the fascinating ruins sites left behind by the Mayan civilization on the mainland. A selection is the largest temple Altun Ha, the city of Caracol, Xunantunich and Lubaantun, where the legendary crystal skull was found, as well as the city of Cerros, which is located directly at the mouth of the New River on the Caribbean Sea and thus easily accessible for yacht charterers.

The many small islands off the coast invite you to relax with powder-fine sand, palm trees and mangroves as well as Caribbean flair.
