Our development
1999
It started in a small way: Damir, a passionate sailor, took the plunge and chartered his yacht for the first time in 1999 in Aabenraa, Denmark, which had become his home. Little by little
other local owners joined in and the charter company slowly developed into a broker.
2001
Sebastian joins as a student and builds the first website offering charter yachts online. Gradually, the ships in the surrounding area are also included.
The focus is initially on the German Baltic Sea.
2007
The first partners from abroad are accepted. The portfolio expands to include yachts from the Netherlands, Sweden and Croatia.
2009
1a Yachtcharter GmbH is founded with a focus on the agency business. Marvin joins the company a short time later. He focuses on the support of the customers, Sebastian further on the
the expansion of the offer and the programming of the website.
2022
Today, almost 20 years after the first charter experience, 1a Yachtcharter is still a family business and with the same passion. The agency is now in the younger hands of
hands of Sebastian and Marvin, but Damir is still available to the team as a technical and nautical consultant. An energetic young team of 15 employees offers you
a modern customer area and an uncomplicated handling. You can now choose your port of departure from 250 bases in over 40 countries, the selection of yachts has grown to over
11.000 yachts.
