Das Dingi sowie der dazu gebuchte Außenbordmotor waren praktisch nicht nutzbar.
Das Boot musste immer vor Benutzung aufgepumpt werden und der Motor lief, wenn er endlich angesprungen war, im Dauergas, was eine Steuerung unmöglich machte. Sobald das Gas zurück genommen wurde, ging der Motor aus.
