The country also offers numerous national parks such as the Parque Nacional Soberanía, where you can experience impressive biodiversity. For the more adventurous, there are opportunities for rafting, hiking and even visiting indigenous communities.
In the north of the country lies the archipelago of the San Blas Islands in the Caribbean Sea, with just over 360 islands. The islands have not yet been taken over by tourism. With their palm-covered islands and extensive coral reefs, they offer a dreamlike natural backdrop.
Culinary you should not miss Panama's delicacies. Try "ceviche" at one of the many stalls at the fish market in Panama City or the traditional "sancocho", a tasty soup often referred to as the national dish.

Getting there: If you are traveling from Europe, you can arrive via Tocumen International Airport in Panama City. From here you can easily get to downtown Panama City and the marina. The San Blas Islands are best reached by a short domestic flight or boat from Panama City. There are several providers offering transfers to the marinas and yacht charter bases on the islands.
