Yacht charter St. Martin
St. Martin is located east of the British Virgin Islands and is divided between two countries. The northern part with the same name belongs to France and the EU, the southern part to the Dutch Kingdom, but is independent. You can find detailed information about the entry requirements and how to get there on our country page Saint Martin.
The fact that the island belongs to two different countries makes the special flair. In the capital Marigot, French ambience surrounds you, whether it is the specialties, language or stores. Local products can be found at the twice weekly market. From Fort Louis above the city you have a beautiful view over the bay.
The capital of the Dutch part is called Philipsburg. The beach of the city is already an attraction for tourists, because the taxiway of the airport starts right behind here, so the planes fly very low over it.
Both sides offer many beautiful beaches as well as opportunities for various water sports. The clear and warm water invites to snorkeling and diving. Temperatures and winds are reliable for surfing. Culinary fans will find in Grand Case, the gastronomic center of the island, many restaurants with different country cuisines and themes. The interior of the island can be explored on foot, by bike or on horseback.
As a starting point for your yacht charter vacation we offer on the one hand the Marina Fort Louis and on the other hand the Marina Port Royale, both located in the French part of the capital Marigot. Both marinas are within walking distance of the town. Here you can also clear out if you want to visit the neighboring islands of Anguilla and St. Barth. The town is right next to Simpson Bay Lagoon, the yachting center of the island. The bay is separated into a French and Dutch part, but with the dinghy you can explore the bay without clearing in and out.
