Ibiza is an island of contrasts. Who is looking for the variety between active vacation, nightlife and relaxation, finds around the Balearic island the right spots for it. Here you have your peace on the water and in the small, less accessible bays; nightlife in the numerous clubs and beaches in the south. On a leisurely week trip you can circle the island once and also include the neighboring island of Formentera. The Balearic sisters Majorca, Menorca or the small Cabrera Islands south of Majorca can be easily discovered during two weeks. You can start from the bases Ibiza Town and Santa Eulària des Riu.

Around Ibiza there are many small, cozy bays, which can be approached depending on wind and weather conditions. In some of them buoys have been laid out, in many there is good anchoring ground. There are marinas in Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni and Santa Eulalia. On the neighboring island of Formentera to the south, there are two marinas in the island's main port, La Savina. Here applies everywhere: reserve in time if you want to get hold of one of the berths in summer.

The area around the third largest Balearic island is easy to navigate, but between the islands of Ibiza and Formentera you should watch out for shallows. In summer, moderate winds from the south and east prevail, which become stronger from autumn to spring. Therefore especially Ibiza of the Balearic Islands is suitable for sailing beginners.
