The city with more than 30.000 inhabitants is situated in the east of the island Ibiza. There is a big marina, among other things with gas station and supermarket. In the marina you can see luxurious yachts docked, so it's a bit more sophisticated here. Along the palm-fringed beach promenade you can walk into town, where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and good supply options. There are also two popular hippy markets for shopping. Worth seeing, for example, is the Puig de Missa church, which was once not only a place of worship but a fortress to provide protection from pirates. The Museu Etnogràfia provides information about life in Ibiza before tourism, and the Sala Barrau exhibits works by impressionist artist Laureà Barrau i Buῆol, who captured life on the islands. In Santa Eulària des Riu the only river of the island flows into the sea. Alternatively, you can start from Ibiza Town.
