The town of Kalkara is located in the southeast of Malta. It is located opposite the capital Valletta, which is situated on a headland jutting into the common bay. Kalkara Marina is a part of the Grand Harbour. From the international airport in the island's interior, it is only 9 km to the marina. Around the Grand Harbour is the region of the "Three Towns". Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea are the ancient home of knights and orders and there are many historic churches and palaces here.
