Yacht charter Praslin

Praslin is the second largest island of the Seychelles after Mahé. Propeller planes fly here from Mahé, where the international airport of the Seychelles is located, or one takes ferries from Victoria. The port of departure is the large Sainte Anne Bay on the east side of the island.
Around Praslin are the islands of La Digue, Curieuse, Aride, Cousin and Petite and Grand Soeur.

The beaches of Anse Kerlan and Anse Lazio are among the most beautiful sandy beaches in the world. Besides the beaches and the underwater world, the Vallée de Mai in the interior of the island is a highlight of the island. The valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to endemic species such as the Seychelles palm Coco de Mer and rare bird species as well as flying foxes and chameleons.
Curieuse once served as a place of exile for lepers, but today it is known as home to more than 100 giant tortoises that can be observed up close. At the Doctor's House, exhibits provide information about the island's past as a leper colony. On the east side you can anchor in Baie Laraie and on the south side in Anse St. Jose or moor at buoys. For snorkeling, a side trip to St. Pierre is worthwhile.

The island La Digue in the east of Praslin is one of the highlights of a Seychelles vacation. The beaches and coastline of the island are those of our longing images of the archipelago. Anchor off the port of La Passe and explore the island by bicycle. A coral reef runs around the island, so snorkeling and diving are worthwhile in front of each beach. For strength, return to one of the island's many small inns. In the south lies the famous palm-fringed beach Anse Source d'Argent, which is framed by sculpture-like granite rocks. To visit it, you have to pay an entrance fee.

A small marine park and a popular snorkeling spot are the three small Coco-Islands. For a fee, it is also allowed to relax on the island of Grande Soeur on other dream beaches.

Some of the rarest bird species in the world can be seen in the Seychelles. Cousin Island belongs to a bird conservation organization and Aride is also a bird paradise. Accordingly, a visit to either island requires pre-registration with the local conservation station and, to prevent the introduction of alien species, visitors are picked up by dinghy and taken to the island accompanied by a ranger.

The remoteness and late settlement of the Seychelles has also allowed larger native species to survive, such as the giant tortoise on Curieuse Island. ©riduernst/AdobeStock
