Yacht charter Cambrils

A yacht charter Cambrils not far from Tarragona takes you to the heart of the Costa Daurada. This 216 km long stretch of coast is famous for its fine sandy and gently sloping beaches. In Cambrils, directly adjacent to the marina, you will find Platja de la Llosa, a somewhat quieter beach, especially suitable for families and equipped with a small bar. The main beach of the city, Playa del Regueral, is the largest beach and is located right next to the city. Golden sand, palm trees and crystal clear water invite you to swim, but this beach is a bit more frequented. After enjoying the beach, sun and sea, you can stroll along the palm-lined promenade by the sea and stop at one of the cafes or restaurants. The old town is also not far from the port. Several 17th century watchtowers are scattered around the town, and the Torre del Port houses a small art museum with changing exhibitions. Whether fish dishes or a glass of wine, local dishes can be enjoyed anywhere during a yacht charter in Cambrils. But also the many non-Michelin starred restaurants offer a wide choice of options. You should finish your menu with a typical hazelnut dessert, the "Cambrillanes". Not far from the city is the "Parc Samà". A botanical garden built in 1881 by the Marquis of Marianao as a summer residence. A contemporary writer referred to it as the "Garden of Eden stolen from heaven" and even today the 14ha site with a pond, a waterfall and many native and exotic plants has much to discover for young and old.
Near Cambrils, Reus is the hometown of Spain's most famous architect, Antoni Gaudí. Here he spent the first 16 years of his and the city has dedicated a museum to him, the Gaudi Center. Here you can immerse yourself in the life of the artist and learn where he got the inspiration for his famous works.
For a family outing, the Port Aventura theme park nearby is a popular destination. Salou itself is known for its numerous water sports and golf courses.

Places steeped in history, natural parks or a blue-water cruise to Formentera

The Ebro Delta can be reached easily from Cambrils in a day trip to the southwest. A wetland biotope formed by rice cultivation over the years and today partly under nature protection. More than 300 bird species live here or use the delta as a stopover. The flora and fauna of this area can be experienced on numerous hiking trails. Mountain bike tours also lead through the delta.
Further down the coast, in Peñíscola, a 14th century castle towers over the sea. The imposing structure has already served as a backdrop for several films and is well worth a visit. Directly below the castle and with a fantastic view of it lies one of the town's beaches. The coast in this area already belongs to the Costa Azahar, known for its small coastal towns and orange groves. South of Peñíscola lies the Sierra de Irta National Park. Here, rugged mountain foothills stretch to the sea, forming secluded coves. Explore the area on one of the signposted hiking or biking trails and discover the ruins of the Moorish castles Magdalena de Pulpis and Xivert.

Turning northeast up the coast on your Cambrils yacht charter, you'll reach Sitges. This is where the Ophiusa Cruceros ocean regatta starts every year. Follow the route and cross over to Formentera, combine sailing vacations on the Spanish mainland coast with island vacations around Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca. Or you can continue sailing from Sitges via Barcelona, experience an entertaining day in the lively metropolis by the sea and then reach the wild coast of the Costa Brava via Blanes.

No matter which way you decide to go on your yacht charter Cambrils, the calm waters on Spain's east coast offer good conditions for less experienced sailors, families will find quiet, shallow beaches paired with excursion destinations suitable for children and blue water fans will also get their money's worth.
