On Saturdays the weekly market is held here. In the fishing village you can arrive slowly, explore the old village center or the small fishing settlements around it. At and in Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer there are also several beaches for swimming and sunbathing, both pebble and sandy. With a yacht charter Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer to the Hyères Islands
Not far to the east are already the Hyères Islands. Because of their golden shimmering cliffs they are also called Îles d'Or, golden islands. This group of islands is definitely worth a visit, especially because of its landscape and nature. On the largest of the islands, Île de Porquerolles, you will find beautiful sandy beaches in the north, like at Plage de la Courtade. Here it is a bit more touristy than on the other islands. In the village of the same name in the north, you can moor in the harbor and explore the island on bicycles. The neighboring island of Port-Cros is completely a national park and is accordingly more natural in appearance and ideal for hiking. A naturist movement has developed on Île du Levant since the 1930s. There are also old fortifications on the islands. In the town of Hyères on the mainland, in addition to numerous parks, the Saint Paul Abbey from the 12th and 13th centuries and the Templar Tower are particularly worth seeing.
On a week trip with a yacht charter Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer you can stop at for example the tranquil Bormes-les-Mimosas and the French Venice Port Grimaud and sail all the way to Saint Tropez. Here at the harbor you can marvel at sophisticated yachts, enjoy the atmosphere during a stroll through the alleys or plunge into the nightlife of the town. The entire stretch of coastline described here is part of the largest wine-growing area in Provence, Côte de Provence, and tasting various wines of the region, especially rosé wines, is recommended.
