Yacht charter Caorle

Caorle is located in Veneto at the mouth of the Livenza River, which flows into the Adriatic Sea here. The town enchants with its small streets and colorful houses and reminds in its townscape of Venice, which is why it has the nickname Little Venice. Caorle has a fine sandy beach that stretches for many kilometers. In the city, the small church of Madonna del Angelo on the rocky embankment and the 11th-century Duomo with its round tower Campanile are among the sights worth seeing. Outside, you can take a bike tour through the former fishing villages, such as Falconera, and get an idea of how people lived here back then. The typical thatched huts, called casoni, are still present in many places. The area around Caorle can be explored not only by sea but also by boat along the many canals that run parallel to the coast.

Discover the lagoons of Veneto and sunbathe on the beaches of the Italian Adriatic Sea with a yacht charter Caorle

If you sail eastwards you will find the lagoon of Marano with a special natural landscape. Protected from the sea by several islands such as Sant'Andrea or Martignano, the lagoon is characterized by a rich variety of birds and fish. Walk through the old town of Marano Lagunare, through narrow streets to the over 1000 year old tower, a relic from the time when the Venetians also ruled this part of the region. A visit to one of the many fish restaurants with guaranteed daily fresh catch should not be missed. On a sand dune southeast in the lagoon is the tourist center of the area, Grado. Here you will also find sandy beaches, which are otherwise not available in the inner part of the lagoon, and a thermal bath.
Monfalcone has a medieval castle, the church of Sant'Ambrogio and a theme park dedicated to the First World War. The town was the scene of battles between the Italians and Austrians. There are several open-air museums and a system of field paths and trenches with various itineraries. Monfalcone is also a port town known for the construction of merchant and cruise ships. On the way you pass by the Riserva Naturale Regionale della Foce dell'Isonzo, also a unique marsh and natural landscape. Further east lies the Gulf of Trieste with the city of the same name.
Above all, a visit to Venice is indispensable. For a beach vacation it is well worth continuing to Ravenna where the sandy beaches stretch far south along the coast.
