Yacht charter Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is located in the large Banderas Bay on the Pacific coast and is one of the sailing centers of Mexico. The city has an international airport. Flights from Germany often go via the USA or Mexico City with 1 or 2 stopovers. Various hotels, restaurants, cafes and shopping centers are located at the port. Once Hollywood actors brought the jet set here, today American students fly to Puerto Vallarta in February for Spring Break. But the city is not as crowded as Mexico's most popular destinations, Cancún and Acapulco, but is not inferior to either. The Malecón beach promenade is a popular meeting place and promenade and stretches almost two kilometers along Los Muertos beach. Here you pass many restaurants, food stalls, cafes and street art as well as fashion stores and boutiques. Nightlife is also provided here with bars and clubs. There is always something happening on the promenade.
From here you can also quickly reach the old town, which is built in Spanish colonial style. Here, too, there are boutiques and countless tapas bars and restaurants serving local food. In the city's botanical garden, you can already get an overview of the regional plant diversity. Tequila lovers can visit a distillery. Filmafficinados will find in the Gringo Gulch neighborhood the former residence of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, who made the city famous in the United States as a tourist destination. Today it is a museum centered around the life of Elizabeth Taylor.
Yacht charter Puerto Vallarta - relaxing or active vacation in the beautiful Bay of Banderas
The Bay of Banderas is one of the largest bays in the world. In winter and spring it is dry season here and the temperatures are accordingly pleasant. Temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees and a large array of sandy beaches make the Bay of Banderas an ideal destination for sun worshippers. On the coast of Puerto Vallarta there are long sandy beaches where you can immediately sunbathe and swim. For example, at Playa los Muertos, where, contrary to its name, it is very lively, at Playa Mismaloya and more quietly a little further south at Playa Conchas Chinas.
Besides sailors, surfers also find good wind conditions here, especially at Punte de Mita and Sayulita a little north of the bay. As in the Gulf of California, wildlife is diverse in the protected coastal areas of Banderas Bay. Divers and snorkelers can enjoy a colorful underwater world of tropical fish in the Los Arcos Marine National Park or off the Islas Marietas. Around the Islas Marietas you can encounter whales, manta rays, dolphins and sea turtles on guided tours. Colonies of seabirds also live on the uninhabited islands. Experienced divers can also go on dives into the underwater caves, a highlight in the area. In the bay Bahía de Chamela there is an island archipelago, where you can comfortably cruise from island to island. On land, the area can be explored by mountain bike, on horseback or on a hike. A nice destination is also the beach and waterfalls of Quimixto, south of Puerto Vallarta.
Another location in Mexico is La Paz in the Gulf of California.
