Yacht charter Macinaggio

Macinaggio is a small town on the northeastern tip of Corsicaand is best known for its historically significant harbor. Here the Romans and Genoese landed and traded, empresses were received, resistance fighters set off into exile and the Corsican Napoleon set foot here on his return from exile on Elba back on his home island. Today, however, the port is mainly a marina.

Macinaggio can be reached via the airport near Bastia, the largest city in the north of the island. You start from the marina Port de Plaisance. Moreover, enthusiasts of culinary delicacies will not be disappointed in Macinaggio as the level of quality outweighs the price. With a yacht charter Macinaggio offers a trip around the Cap Corse or south along the east coast of Corsica or even to the islands of the Tuscan Archipelagotowards the Italian coast like Elba, Pianosa or Capraia Isola. For longer trips you can also sail down to Sardinia or in the east along the Italian mainland coast.

Pleasure cruise and fishing village idyll with a yacht charter Macinaggio

On a cruise around Cap Corse you will find a beautiful sandy beach, which is also family friendly, right in the next bay, the bay of Tamarone, on the way north. A little further on are the tiny Îles Finocchiarola. The three islands of A Terra, Mezzana and Finocchiarola have been part of a nature reserve since the 1980s. Of course, the remains of a Genoese tower are not to be missed. In Port de Centuri on the west side you should definitely treat yourself to seafood in the restaurant, especially the lobsters, a specialty of the village. Another highlight at Cap Corse is the beach of Nonza on the west side, which has a blackish color due to the slate rock at Cap Corse. If you also dare to climb the thousand steps in the rock, a great view awaits you. A visit to the small village is also worthwhile. In the southernmost bay of the Cap you should plan a stop in Saint Florent, the "Corsican Saint-Tropez". Cap Corse is also known for its wines, for example Patrimonio. Visit a winery, take part in a wine tasting or simply take the opportunity in the restaurants to get to know the different wines and their character. For those who are also drawn to hiking trails, you can walk part of the publican's path that runs along the coast.

With a yacht charter Macinaggio heading south, you will pass the small picturesque fishing village of Erbalunga with its Genoese tower and small winding alleys. Not far away is the second largest city on the island, Bastia. The port is a center of the city and very lively. Here you can find several restaurants and cafes on the Place Saint-Nicolas. Right next to it is the old town, over which towers the largest church in Corsica, the baroque church of Saint Jean-Baptiste. The main shopping street is Boulevard Paoli. Anchoring possibilities are rare on the east coast until Porto-Vecchio. Further stops in southern direction can be for example Taverna, Solenzara and Campoloro as well as Porto-Vecchio and as a highlight definitely Bonifacio with its fascinating chalk cliffs.
