Yacht charter San Vincenzo
A yacht charter San Vincenzo will take you to the island of Elba and the other islands of the Tuscan Archipelago such as Giglio, Montecristo or Capraia. According to the World Conservation Union, the region of the Tuscan Archipelago, as the largest marine protected area in Italy, even belongs to the most important natural wonders of the world.
San Vincenzo - Cittàslow and bathing pleasure
The small town of San Vincenzo is located on the Ligurian coast south of Livorno and Cecina. It is a popular seaside resort and outside there are long sandy beaches. The section of the natural beach Torre Vecchia is particularly recommended. In the town center, which runs parallel to the sea shore, you can find several restaurants, cafes and gelaterias.
The modern and tidy marina in San Vincenzo is just a stone's throw from the city center and offers, in addition to ample berths, a nearby shopping center and its own shipyard. Mooring with boats up to 27 meters is possible in this large marina.
Once a year the town is taken over by the euphoria of the spectators of the Costa degli Etruschi, a Grand Prix in road cycling, which makes the town famous beyond the borders of the Livorno region. Although San Vincenzo has been known since the early 14th century, the town, which has a population of about 7000, has no monuments worth mentioning, except for a watchtower dating back to 1304.
Even though San Vincenzo is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Tyrrhenian coast, you never get the feeling that you are being overrun by crowds of tourists. San Vincenzo retains the casual and Mediterranean relaxed atmosphere, which is mainly due to the many beautiful sandy beaches with clear water that invite to all kinds of water sports.
As part of the Cittàslow movement, which has been working since 1999 to improve the quality of life in Italian cities, the city promises deceleration, which can be experienced right away with beach walks at sunset or a stroll through the cafés of the old town.
South of the city lies the excavation site of Populonia, a former Etruscan settlement. In addition to the excavations and an acropolis, there is also a museum that provides information about the historical context.

Relaxing towns and islands in the Tuscan Archipelago
On Elba, the infamous "Napoleon Island", there are still historical relics of the "Napoleon era" in the form of his old residences. Around the island there are many beautiful bays with wonderful sandy beaches, which guarantee fantastic bathing and diving pleasure. The charming shore promenades and the fishing village-like charm of the marinas in Elba create a special atmosphere for sailors and yachtsmen.
The volcanic island of Capraia is predominantly characterized by rugged mountains and jagged cliffs and proves to be an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving. With a little luck you will get to see whales and dolphins. The underwater world, the caves and grottos and the many anchor bays on Gilgio and Giannturi also invite for fascinating dives, where you can even come across the shipwreck Anna Bianca at Giannutri. Giglio is worth discovering during a shore excursion, during which you should definitely visit the village of Giglio Castello, a place enclosed by fortified walls, where you can go on a journey through time in the narrow streets. Monecristo and Pianosa cannot be visited due to the protection of nature.
A sailing trip along the Tuscan coast towards the north is also attractive from San Vincenzo, as it allows you to experience some of the most beautiful coastal towns in Tuscany, such as Cecina, Piombino, Puntone di Scarlino or Castiglioncello. In Piombino, a picturesque port town, just a few kilometers from Elba, you can relax in the old town with an espresso far from the big tourist crowds. While Puntone di Scarlino attracts with great bays and an interesting town history near the Tuscan archipelago, Castiglioncello, south below Livorno on the Ligurian Sea, exudes a glamorous Mediterranean charm with great bays, picturesque beaches and best water quality. The art nouveau buildings and exclusive hotels add to this atmosphere.
