Yacht charter Nydri
The village of Nydri (or Nidri) on the east coast of the island of Lefkada is a sailing and yachting center in the Ionian Sea. Its natural harbor and sheltered location have always made Nydri attractive, and today the Ionian Regatta starts here every September. The small town is located barely 20 kilometers south of the capital and offers around the harbor a lively little neighborhood with taverns, cafes and bars.
Due to the winds, which are considered calm and steady, the area is also well suited for sailing beginners and families. But also passionate sailors will find here a very interesting area. There is no large-scale infrastructure as far as marinas are concerned. So you often moor in small town harbors or anchor in bays.
On small stages you can explore the islands off Nydri, which are lush green in contrast to the islands of the Aegean Sea: Olive groves and pine forests invite visitors for walks and small hikes. Varied coasts with beautiful bays and beaches and picturesque towns with Venetian architecture typical for this region are further assets.
In the yacht charter base Nydri you will find a wide range of gastronomic delights and a pleasant shopping. On the day of arrival a visit to the nearby waterfall is highly recommended. Then the yacht charter vacation will start with a little highlight.
How to get there: Lefkada Island is easily accessible from Germany via the international airport Aktio in Preveza. Additionally, the island is connected to the mainland by a floating bridge in its main town, Lefkada, witch is located in the north of the island.
