Yacht charter Sanremo
The town of Sanremo is located in the middle of a wide bay on the Riviera di Ponente near the French border. Due to its location between the sea and the mountains, the town is quite built up because of the lack of space, but it has managed to keep its corners with charm. Sanremo is also called the flower city, because here the flower cultivation and trade are important economic sectors, mainly carnations and roses are grown. A visit to the flower market is therefore very worthwhile. Lose yourself in the small streets of the old town "La Pigna" with its countless passages and small squares. On top of a hill is the pilgrimage church Madonna della Costa, from which you have a beautiful view over the city. The Russian Orthodox Church of Cristo Salvatore, built in 1913, is also picturesque, as is Villa Nobel, where Alfred Nobel lived and died. Here there are exhibitions on the life and work of the scientist, as well as on the Nobel Prize.
Sanremo was discovered early for tourism. Already in the Belle Époque the town was known as a health resort, to which even tsarinas and emperors traveled. The casino also dates from this period and is still a popular place today in search of great fortune or a brief thrill.
