On St. Vincent there is the airport E.T. Joshua. It is located near Kingstown, which is the capital of both the state and the island. In Kingstown, you can take a stroll through the downtown area to see historic buildings from the colonial era and learn about Caribbean flora at the 18th-century Botanical Gardens . Perched on one of the mountains surrounding the city is Fort Charlotte. It is one of the places that commemorate the rebellion of the locals against the colonial rule of the British. Fans of modern cult history and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie series can see remains of the set in Wallilabou Bay near the settlement of Barrouaille near Kingstown.

The interior is mountainous and characterized by rainforest. You can hike to the Soufrière volcano and swim at waterfalls. Bananas are the island's main export, so it is not uncommon to walk through banana plantations when roaming the island. To relax, the dark sand beaches around the island are inviting. Suitable anchorages are Petit Byahaut, where diving is also worthwhile, and Cumberland Bay, a beautiful bay with a popular beach bar.

From St. Vincent it is very easy to plan a yacht charter vacation in the Grenadines, e.g. to Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Union Island or the Tobago Cays. From our base in Blue Lagoon Marina in the southeast of the island you can start your trip. Take care of yourself on St. Vincent, because the infrastructure on the smaller islands is not as good as on the other Caribbean islands. But you will find a Caribbean flair away from the mass tourism.
