Yacht charter St. Lucia (Rodney Bay)
Our base, the Marina Rodney Bay, is located in the north of the island and you will find a good local infrastructure with various shopping facilities and restaurants. The harbor is also hurricane proof. From Fort Rodney you have a beautiful view over the bay and the city.
Divers find their paradise already very close to the marina, in the Pigeon Island National Park. Here in the Jacques Costeau Underwater Park a great variety of fish, corals, sponges and other marine life can be seen. It is one of the best diving spots in the world.
Or you can explore the scenic island from bay to bay and take a trip to the town of Soufrière, which is right next to the two Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A hike to the active volcano Soufrière is also worthwhile.
From Rodney Bay you can see the coast of Martinique on a clear day and the marina is also a good starting point for trips to the Grenadines such as St. Vincent, Bequia or Mustique.
On St. Lucia the Mango Bowl Regatta takes place annually in November, with races in Rodney Bay. The marina is also the destination for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, also held in November. For two to three weeks, sailors from all over the world let the northeast trade winds carry them 2700 nautical miles from Gran Canaria to St. Lucia.
