Las Galletas is our base in the south of the largest island of the Canaries, Tenerife. Since the international airport is close by, it is not a long drive to the marina. The Costa del Silencio is less touristy than other corners of the island and offers both sandy beaches and beautiful cliffs. Surfers and divers will find good spots here and the smaller islands of La Gomera as well as El Hierro are easy to reach from here. Towards the east, Gran Canaria is also not far. Alternatively, you can also start from Radazul in the north.

Yacht charter Las Galletas
The fishing village Las Galletas is located in the south of Tenerife, where also the international airport is situated. If you start from here or come along here, you should take your time to visit one of the fish restaurants or buy fresh fish in the port. There are also many small stores in the town. Las Galletas is located in a bay with a pebble beach, but the surf here is shallower than on other beaches on the island. Also on land it is quieter here, the area is well developed for tourism, but not overcrowded. The name of the region fits these conditions: Costa del Silencio. On the coast, sandy beaches alternate with beautiful cliffs that show the volcanic origin of the island. Also for divers there is a lot to see here at the rocky outcrops and niches under water. At Las Rayas and Los Roncardores you can see moray eels and rays, also shipwrecks lie on the bottom. Dive schools also offer cave dives and courses for different levels. Whale and dolphin watching is also possible here on the south coast. Nearby El Médano is popular with surfers for its consistent winds, and there is also a nice long sandy beach here. Nearby is also the nature reserve Montaña Amarilla, where you can hike and find your peace. A special feature here is the volcanic cone, which has very different rock formations and is yellowish in color. In and around Las Galletas you will find the right region for a quiet vacation on Tenerife. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle, you will find it in Playa de las Americas, 15 kilometers away.
