Yacht charter Tenerife
Tenerife is the largest island of the Canary Islands and is located in the center of the archipelago. From our yacht charter ports Radazul in the north as well as Las Galletas in the south you can discover the beauty of the islands, where there are only two seasons: Spring and Summer. Therefore the Canary Islands are attractive for sailors even in times of winter break in most of the other destinations. The strong wind area is not suitable for sailing beginners, but for all others the jets and cape effects between the islands promise sailing fun and challenge. In any case, trips to the smaller neighboring islands of Tenerife such as La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro are worthwhile. The latter has ambitious plans: already declared a biosphere reserve in 2000, El Hierro is now trying to become completely self-sufficient in renewable energy. In a few years, the island will be home exclusively to electric cars, and El Hierro is also developing into an ecological showcase in other areas. So sailors can look forward to an unspoiled landscape and plenty of natural beauty here in the future, too. On the coasts of Tenerife, however, mass tourism has left clear architectural traces. But even here there is much to discover, especially the Teide National Park in the interior is a natural experience with its crater landscapes and its mountain region. Therefore, hiking boots are a must for your Canary Islands yacht charter vacation, because the archipelago is of volcanic origin and therefore mountainous.

In the capital, Santa Cruz, there are many historic buildings to explore as well as various shopping districts to store and stop in. At the Museo de Naturaleza y Arqueología, exhibits provide information on how the Canary Islands were formed, their flora and fauna, and their indigenous people (Guanches) who still lived on the islands during the conquest. Exhibits also include mummies found on the island and their history. Spectacular is also the cliff Los Gigantes in the west of the island, which falls 450 meters steeply into the sea. In the south and between the island and La Gomera, whales can also be found, especially pilot whales. Other places of interest on the island include the old town of Laguna and the botanical garden in Puerto de la Cruz.
Alternatively, you can start your trip on the Canary Islands from Gran Canaria or Lanzarote.
