Yacht charter Ajaccio

Ajaccio is located in the southwest of Corsica in the Gulf of Ajaccio and is the capital of the island. As the hometown of Napoleon, you can visit the birthplace here and in the town hall there is a museum about the life and career of the most famous son of the city. Napoleon made Ajaccio the capital of Corsica in the 19th century, and from then on it developed from a village into a city with about 70,000 inhabitants today. In the old town, the Italians have left their mark on the architecture, and the pedestrian zone is located in the Rue du Cardinal Fesch. If you want to take a trip outside the city, you can hike through the chestnut forests and gorges in the hinterland. Beach life can be enjoyed at the Plage de Vignola or Plage de Porticcio.

To the north in the Gulf of Ajaccio are the beautiful Îles Sanguinaires, which stretch in a chain towards the open sea. The small group of islands with Genoese watchtowers has a martial name, translated as "the islands of blood," but it refers to the red coloring of the rock that the islands take on at sunset.

Direct flights go to Ajaccio from Germany, otherwise via France. Ajaccio has the largest airport on the island, so the journey is not far. From Marina Port Tino Rossi you can sail around Corsica or head south to Propriano, Bonifacio and further to Sardinia and the Maddalena archipelago.
