While Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, is urban, Propriano has remained a small fishing village with only 3000 inhabitants. On the fine sandy beaches you can start your vacation either relaxed or active with a wide range of water sports. The historical site of Filitosa is a cultural highlight of the island, which should not be missed by those interested in history. Propriano is a good starting point for Törns further to Süden direction Bonifacio and Sardinia.

Yacht charter Propriano
Propriano is located south of Ajaccio, in the southwest of Corsica on the Gulf of Valinco between rugged mountains and fine sandy beaches. Here you can start your vacation in peace with sunbathing and swimming. It is a popular resort and on the harbor promenade you will find many cafes and restaurants. There are good wind conditions for surfers at Plage de Portobello, other nice beaches nearby are Plage de Capu Larosu and Plage de Campomoro.
With a yacht charter Propriano in the footsteps of Corsica's history
A highlight in the vicinity of Propriano is the important archaeological site Filitosa in the Tavaro Valley. Here you can immerse yourself in the prehistoric history of Corsica and visit especially impressive stone monuments in the form of human effigies, but also remains of pottery, weapons and a hut village. Attached is also a museum on the settlement of Corsica.
In the Gulf of Valinco you will encounter beautiful beaches in the bays, ideal for resting and bathing, such as the bay of Cupabia north of Propriano. In the baths of Caldane you can take a cure in sulfurous springs.
Propriano does not have its own airport. Flights go from Germany to Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, about an hour from Propriano. From Marina Propriano you can set out on cruises around Corsica, for example sailing north to Ajaccio and the Île Sanguinaire or south to Bonifacio and on to Sardinia and the Maddalena archipelago.
