Yacht charter Šolta

Šolta is a predominantly wooded island of barely 60m2, located off the Dalmatian coast, directly opposite Split. Your yacht charter Šolta, you can easily reach by ferry from Split. Especially for those interested in history Šolta has a lot to offer with its long settlement history. First traces of settlement can be found already in the Stone Age and early Bronze Age. In Roman times the island was especially important for the agricultural supply (wine and olive cultivation) of the settlements on the mainland. Thus, one can visit several Villae Rusticae from Roman times (e.g. on the south coast near Banje). During the Middle Ages, the island was often exposed to plundering due to its location, which is why the settlement retreated into the island's interior. The steeper south coast is less developed, here dreamlike beaches in lonely bays wait to be discovered on your yacht charter Šolta. But also bays, in which the physical well-being is provided. For example the Uvala Tatinja, where you will find a small and family friendly restaurant. The bays of the north coast, such as Nečujam are also worth a visit. Nečujam is the largest bay on the island and with its many restaurants and bars is a good place to go if you want to stroll around a bit. A snorkeling or diving excursion is also a good option here. In the bay lies at only 5m a wreck, which is worth a jump into the water.

For nature lovers and active vacationers the island in the Croatian Adriatic Sea has a lot to offer. Hiking trails lead past abandoned homesteads and overgrown olive groves. A popular destination for hiking is Vela straža near Gornje selo, the highest elevation of the island, from which you have a beautiful view of the surrounding villages and islands. In addition to the hiking trails, there are also some cycling trails, although it should be noted that some of them are a bit more impassable. The sea around the island is very clear and snorkeling and diving trips are also a nice pastime. If you feel like a more touristic program during your yacht charter Šolta, Maslinica in the west of the island is worth a visit. Here you will find a marina and the largest sandy beach of the island. In the summer months this place is a popular destination for day trips.

From Šolta it is only a few nautical miles to the neighboring islands of Brac and Hvar, and the Kornati islands are also within easy reach, making Šolta a good base for day cruises, or as a starting point for a tour of the islands. Especially the archipelago Pakleni Octoi off Hvar is worth a trip.
