Kotor was once an important trade and cultural center, which can still be seen in the old Mediterranean harbor. For 300 years the city was under Venetian rule, which left many beautiful buildings. Take a walk through the old town and visit the Saint Tryphon Cathedral. Here lie the relics of St. Tryphon, the patron saint of the city.
In the basin opposite Kotor lies the town of Risan. Here the first settlement of the bay was established in Greek times. The town is surrounded by many beaches. Towards the Adriatic Sea, you will pass the two outer basins, the towns of Tivat, which you can take as an alternative starting port, and Herceg Novi. On the Adriatic coast you can continue your cruise south into Montenegro or north into southern Croatia.
