Yacht Charter Sicily
One of the most beautiful yacht charter destinations in Italy are the Lipari (or Aeolian) Islands off Sicily: a volcanic archipelago whose most famous island, with its active volcano rising almost 1000 meters, is called Stromboli.
Each of the islands has its own character, and a visit is particularly beautiful in early summer, when they are covered with a veritable splendor of flowers. Closest to the mainland is the island of Vulcano, an interesting first yacht charter cruise destination. Here you can climb a volcano where sulfur forms at its steaming fissures. In the past it was mined for the production of gunpowder, but today sulfurous mud packs ensure the health and beauty of the island's guests. There is always something going on on the largest island, Lipari, while on its neighbor Salina large parts have been declared a nature reserve. If you are looking for solitude, the small island of Alicudi is the place to be, home to hardly more than 100 people. The Lipari Islands can easily be reached from our yacht charter ports in Sicily (e.g. Palermo, Portorosa and Milazzo) or from the Italian mainland (e.g. Tropea). For long cruises this area can also be combined with a visit to the Amalfi Coast or Sardinia.
