Yacht charter Porto Cervo

This yacht charter takes you to the extremely popular resort of Porto Cervo. In the 1960s the town was founded by an investment group around the Ismaili Prince Karim Aga Khan IV. The resort was planned as a vacation destination for exclusive holidaymakers. The implementation of the town, planned with strict guidelines to protect the landscape, has resulted in a very balanced image. Built with local materials, the houses in earthy tones nestle into the green overgrown slopes against the backdrop of the white beach and emerald sea. The marina is well sheltered from all winds in a bay and offers all the amenities you need for an unworried start to your sailing vacation. In the summer months, luxury yachts line up here one after the other, and a stroll along the jetties is a must.

The city itself also presents a potpourri of possibilities. Enjoy exquisite food in one of the restaurants or marvel at the windows of the boutiques. Keep in mind that Porto Cervo is a popular vacation destination for high society and designed for them, the prices often reflect that. The town offers several buildings worth seeing. Foremost among them is the Stella Maris church near the harbor. This structure was built in 1968 in neo-Sardinian style. It is simple and kept in bright white. The interior is also exceptionally puristic for a Catholic church. The church is open only at irregular times, but a visit is worthwhile, not only to admire the Madonna Dolorosa by El Greco. Towards evening, the small streets of the city usually become more crowded. On the small squares and the shopping street Passeggiata you might even catch a glimpse of a prominent face and in the nice bars you can enjoy the mild evening air with an aperitivo or a glass of wine.
If you like it sporty, you can visit one of the most famous golf courses of the area, for example the Pevero Golf Club situated between the bays Pevero and Cala di Volpe. Embedded in the beautiful natural landscape of the Costa Smeralda, it offers a great panoramic view and a challenging 18-hole course, which, however, with its particularly long tees also offers fun to beginners. The hinterland invites to hiking tours and the bathing pleasure is of course not neglected. Directly adjacent to the town and within walking distance of it is Cala Battistoni.

The nature paradise La Maddalena Archipelago

So if on your yacht charter Porto Cervo you do not feel like in the hustle and bustle of the city anymore, escape to the tranquility of the Maddalena Archipelago. On the main island and the small town La Maddalena it is nice to have a coffee or rent a scooter from there and drive to the neighboring island Caprera, which is connected to La Maddalena by a bridge. Here you can visit the house of the national hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, converted into a museum, or relax on one of the most beautiful beaches of the archipelago Spiaggia del Relitto, the beach in Coticcio Bay or in Serena Bay. From here you can also immerse yourself in the protected nature of the Maddalena Natural Park. There is a fee to visit the park, but tickets can be purchased at most marinas or are included in the charter (feel free to contact us!).

Strolling along the bays of the southeast coast of Sardinia

A sailing trip south along the southeast coast of Sardinia also has a lot to offer. Pass Portisco and Porto Rotondo to Golfo Aranci and Capo Figari with the nature park of the same name. Rare mouflon sheep live here and hiking and mountain bike trails run throughout the park. Shortly after, you will reach Olbia in the marine reserve "Tavolara - Punta Coda Cavallo". Here, off the coast of the islands of Tavolara, Molara and Tre Fratelli, there are some exceptionally rich diving spots. For dives please contact one of the local diving centers, as diving in the nature reserve is only possible with a guide. Again and again you will find small and larger bays with sandy beaches and anchorages along the coast. Here you can enjoy bay strolling in a breathtaking scenery in front of rugged and green cliffs in turquoise sea.

A Porto Cervo yacht charter has something for everyone from yacht watching in the Porto Cervo marina to a visit to rare groupers on a dive off the coast of Tavolara. Families will enjoy the many small beaches, even less frequented ones, while sports enthusiasts can also look forward to fulfilling days after playing golf in Porto Cervo and hiking on Capo Figari.
