Yacht charter Marinella

With Marina dell'Isola you have found an exclusive starting point for your yacht charter Marinella. The private marina, within easy reach of Olbia, offers a private sandy beach and a bar with bistro to start your trip in a quiet environment. The supermarket at Porto Marana is only 2km away. Also just 2km away from the marina is the Spiaggia di Marinella, a long sandy beach, which offers the possibility of renting windsurfing or snorkeling equipment for a little more action-packed variety. In the high season, however, it often attracts many people to the beach, in the low season you can enjoy the white sand in contrast to the clear blue water with a little more peace. The Spiaggia de Bahas, southeast of the marina, and the Spiaggia di Giò, south of the marina, are not so crowded all year round.
The nearby nature park Capo Figari is also worth a visit. The area on the peninsula in the Golfo Aranci, which is recognized as a nature reserve and extends over 850 hectares, attracts visitors with well-developed hiking trails and mountain bike trails. If you take the path up to the Semaforo della Marina Militare, a former naval surveillance unit located 342m above sea level, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of northeastern Sardinia or even as far as Corsica if the visibility is good. After the hike you can stop at one of the restaurants in Golfo Aranci and enjoy fresh fish dishes, Sardinian meat specialties or homemade pasta. In front of the island, for example in the east with La Volta, there are several diving spots of different levels of difficulty.

Costa Smeralda - The paradise of Sardinia

The name Costa Smeralda already emphasizes the special feature of this part of the coast - the emerald green water. The predominantly rocky coastline offers an impressive contrast to the play of colors of the sea. Again and again small bays with sandy beaches open up along the coast and invite you to linger. Towards the north, a sophisticated city experience awaits you with Porto Cervo. The city, planned in 1960, impresses with its strictly regulated architecture adapted to nature. Especially the small church Stella Maris combines traditional church architecture with modern, clear and simple forms. In the summer months, the town is a meeting place for the international jet set and a berth in the harbor is not cheap. The annual Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta provides an opportunity for a little yacht-watching. Every two years, the town has the Rolex Swan Cup, one of the top Italian regatta events on the calendar.
Along the coast, other towns such as Porto Rotondo, Portisco and Cannigione are always great places to stop after a day at sea to enjoy good Sardinian cuisine or a tasty wine from the local Nuraghus, Monica or even the Torbato grape varieties.

Strolling in the bays of the Maddalena archipelago

The La Maddalena archipelago, classified as a geo-marine protected project in 1994, can also be easily reached on your yacht charter Marinella. Here the main island La Maddalena or Caprera east of Maddalena attract with numerous lonely bays and beaches. Towards the end of the 19th century the former shepherd's island Caprera was for many years a retreat for the champion of the Italian nation and thus an important hero of Italian history Giuseppe Garibaldi. A museum has been established in his residence on the island. To the east of the island lies Cala Coticcio, one of the most beautiful bays on the island, and Spiaggia Tahiti, a beach that bears its name not without reason and, because of its sheltered location, also offers families relaxed swimming.
Further north via the Bocche di Bonifacio is Corsica, another popular destination. The crossing requires sailing skills, there are no sheltered bays on the crossing and often strong westerly winds prevail there, due to land mass and jet effects these can be increased by 2-3 Beaufort. In the water it is important to watch out for shoals and reefs. But the approach to the Corsican mainland with its white sandstone cliffs towering high into the sky is worth it just for the sight of them. The port of call from Sardinia is the town of Bonifacio, which gave its name to the strait. The town is enthroned at a height of 60m on the chalk cliffs and offers a number of sights, such as the Escalier du Roi d'Aragon, a staircase carved into the stone with 187 steps between the sea and the medieval upper town, the Gothic church of Saint Dominique and the citadel, which dates back to the 9th century and has been extended again and again.
