Yacht charter Vodice

The yacht charter base Vodice is centrally located on the Croatian coast. The modern, sheltered ACI marina is open all year round and has a good infrastructure with electricity and water connections at all berths, its own service workshop and a restaurant.
Long beaches and a varied tourist offer make the town, whose name derives from the Croatian "voda" for water, one of the most popular vacation resorts in Dalmatia. The town was founded in Roman times and therefore offers many opportunities to visit historical monuments of different eras during your yacht charter. Among other things, a defense tower from the time of the Turkish conquests and several churches from the Middle Ages and Baroque times. For a beautiful view of the city and the offshore islands, you can climb the nearby Mount Okit.
Sports facilities of all kinds (e.g. tennis, soccer and basketball) are available in Vodice, as well as surfing and diving schools. Excursions to the olive groves and vineyards of the surrounding area, on foot or by mountain bike, are also popular vacation activities.
Culinary you can look forward to a wonderful Mediterranean cuisine with fresh fish and seafood as well as regional specialties and wines.

Central Dalmatian island hopping

1 week: Vodice - Zirje - island Zut - Dugi Otok - island Kornat - Piškera - island Kakan, Kaprije or Zmajan - Vodice

2 weeks: the variety of islands and small bays in the Kornati archipelago offers many possibilities to extend your cruise without getting bored!

A start from Vodice is more suitable than any other for island hopping through the Kornati islands. These stretch between Zadar in the north and Šibenik in the south. By the way, both cities are also excellent destinations for a day of contrast to the idyllic and rather quiet island vacation.
In total, the Kornati islands comprise about 140 islands and cliffs and, together with the Kornati National Park, are one of Croatia's sailing highlights. In the Opat Bay of the island Korn at you can get a beautiful view over Kornati. The Konoba of the same name in the bay has become more and more popular over the years. If you want to stop here for one of the delicious fish dishes, you should make a reservation beforehand during the peak season.
The island of Zirje is popular for its beautiful bays. Since Croatia's beaches are mostly pebbly, the water is exceedingly clear and great for snorkeling.
Around the island of Dugi Otok there are also many smaller bays, which are very suitable as anchorage for an afternoon swim stop. Nature lovers are drawn to the Telašcica National Park in the bay of the same name on the island. The high cliffs in the park are an impressive sight from the sea and the hiking trails here are particularly suitable for a walk with a view of the surrounding sea.
On the island of Piškera there is a marina with supply facilities.

City hopping along the coastline

A cruise along the coastline, both north and south, also has interesting destinations in store.
To the north, places like Drage, appreciated by families for its multitude of beaches, or Biograd na Moru, founded by the Romans and a popular tourist destination, and not to mention Zadar with its old town situated on a peninsula, await.
To the south, a trip to Šibenik is worthwhile, up the Krka River to Skradin to visit the waterfalls of the national park. Further south, Primošten captivates with its narrow streets, small picturesque backyards and its original Croatian charm. Past Rogoznica at whose horn the winds of the south and the north meet - pay attention to the weather forecast when going around - to Split and Kaštela with its 13 castles from the 15th century.

Fancy a change of scenery? Check out what other Croatian spots like Istria or the Kvarner Bay are all about. Or change the country and discover what sailing areas Spain and Italy have to offer.
